Will be working in the Production Radar Hardware Engineering team. In this capacity, this person will support the factory following Electrical Engineering efforts for the radar product line, but could also multi-task onto supporting Electrical design and development roles for new projects as required. This will be a challenging, fast-paced role. Will be responsible to resolve Engineering issues involving power architecture and cable design and development for production hardware.
Relevant disciplines would include power distribution and cable design, test and performing support activities. Duties will require a person to capable in efforts involving the testing of production assemblies and the troubleshooting and debugging of these products. This role will require a person to assist in the conceptual design, detailed design and testing of production radar assemblies, with emphasis on power distribution component analysis and selection. Some experience with the national electrical codes and standards is also required. Must have the ability to determine root causes of technical issues that arise and to identify the most efficient path to resolve any problems.
Relevant experience with both radar and facility power systems is a plus. This individual will be asked to participate in all phases of the project and resolving technical issues arising during final testing. This individual should be pro-active and self-motivated to support production programs in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Desired skills required would be a knowledge of power distribution and RF cabling, including familiarity with the PSPICE or the Pro-Cable design tools. An Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience level is required with some knowledge of generator specification and cable design, documentation and production support disciplines a plus.
