Lockheed Martin is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineering Lead to work in Colorado on a cutting-edge team developing embedded systems solutions targeting problems related to (but not limited to) cyber security.
About the job:
As one of the largest defense contractors in the world, Lockheed Martin is responsible for developing embedded systems platforms in many exciting domains including satellites and avionics.
As a Systems Engineering lead you will:
•Lead the Program's Systems Engineering efforts to include technical direction, planning, and staffing
•Manage Systems and Project Engineering resources for the program, and provide programmatic and proposal support
•Provide guidance to a Systems Engineering team to include full Systems Engineering lifecycle processes, from architecture and requirements development through weapons system operations and integration, and their application to TR3 CNID
•Perform staffing and performance responsibilities; in coordination with HR and established processes
•Utilize your background and functional leadership experience to help deliver on this critical program
In this position, you will be responsible for working with the agile development teams to conduct activity planning and sequencing, resource planning, schedule development, time estimation, systems engineering documentation, hw development, risks and issues management, monitor and report progress, team leadership, and controlling quality of program deliverables.
This position is contingent upon a program award date of approximately June 2021
Basic Qualifications:
•BS in an Engineering or closely related field
•Systems Engineering process knowledge or experience and complete lifecycle experience with Engineering processes and reviews
•Familiarity with DoD program support
•Demonstrated Program/Project Management and/or leadership skills
•Ability to obtain Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
•Experience with embedded systems in safety-relevant domains (e.g. aerospace, health, automotive).
•Strong technical communication skills (experience communicating technical designs to non-technical customers and communicating customer desires to technical team).
•Experience with industry standard agile development tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
•Demonstrated understanding of agile development within both a scrum team and waterfall development contract environment.
•Demonstrate organizational skills when handling multiple tasks at a time.
•Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
•Ability to adapt well to change, as the working environment has evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.
