Description:
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a Contracts Negotiator for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support Contracts in the Air and Missile Defense Business Area for Lower-Tier or Upper-Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense.
Tasks include:
The successful candidate will perform Contract Administration and Negotiation support in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, negotiations, administration, and contract closeout.
Author business correspondence to result in or influence desired business outcomes and author internal directives (Contract Authorizations and Proposal Authorizations).
Review and evaluate Customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts.
Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements established during negotiations.
Assist with preparation of proposals, preparation of proposal review briefing packages, participate in fact finding and negotiations; provide risk assessments and offer creative contracting approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language / clauses.
Investigate and reconcile significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc. and advise management of contractual rights and responsibilities.
Maintain nearly constant communications with external Customers to ensure timely execution of contract documents and to apprise Customers of issues and the Company's position on various complex matters of business.
Some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Experience with Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Ability to obtain a US security clearance
Desired Skills:
Three (3) or more years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR one (1) or more years with a Master's degree
Related experience in Contracts, Proposals, Finance and/or Business operations
Experience negotiating and administering contracts with the U.S. Government is preferred
Experience with IDIQ and BOA type contracts is highly desired
Working knowledge of Asserted Rights Categories and Protection of Intellectual Property
Candidate should be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and achieve program goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Candidate should be a proactive self-starter who is detailed and teamwork oriented
Capable of working independently with general supervision
The qualified individual should be able to establish effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers and possess excellent business acumen
Should possess strong analytical skills and be a team player
