Description:Assist with planning, conducting and reporting on rotorcraft flight tests. Test planning involves understanding test objectives, determining measurement requirements and defining maneuvers and conditions for which data is to be obtained in order to meet test objectives in a safe manner. These details are written into published test plans. Test conduct involves coordination with instrumentation and aircraft operations personnel, briefing flight and ground crews and monitoring tests in real-time using telemetry. Large volumes of flight data are processed and analyzed. Prepare reports and presentations documenting the flight test results. Use the flight test results to provide input to rotorcraft flight manuals as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
Desired Skills:
Aircraft maintenance or pilot experience is a plus.
