College Student Tech, Quality Assurance Intern

The Operations organization is comprised of more than 6,000 dedicated professionals deployed to company and customer sites throughout the country. Operations touches all of SSC s programs and products managing our supply chain; producing, assembling, testing and transporting mission critical hardware; ensuring safety, quality and security; integrating enterprise plans; maintaining and improving our facilities; while ensuring program performance. All of the essential elements that ultimately result in the delivery of spacecraft, missiles and instruments to our customers. Every day, the work we do makes a difference. Working with experienced engineers, perform quality assurance product acceptance inspections and logbook reviews. Responsible for verifying effective corrective action is implemented to resolve the root cause of discrepancies. Support of quality metrics generation and reporting, cause and effect analysis.

Must be able to pass all required training per the department's OTSP and QE Planning certification to retain employment.
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing 4 year technical degree in accredited institution in an engineering field, such as Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or similar discipline.

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
Experience or classroom knowledge with contracts, engineering planning, materials, purchasing, procurement, or quality assurance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
