Business Development Staff - RF

Description: As the Business Development professional responsible for planning, executing and managing growth efforts for RF and related domains within the Special Programs line-of-business (SPLOB), the successful candidate will leverage current business and capabilities to penetrate core and near-core RF markets to grow the LOB, diversify its portfolio and meet Long-Range Plan (LRP) commitments totaling more than $1B. The RF BD lead will be responsible for discovering, qualifying and maturing new opportunities, develop discriminating value propositions and offerings, and bid effectively to achieve high win rates.

Specific responsibilities include:
•Leading the execution of strategic growth plans focused on RF and related core and near-core markets.
•Leading efforts to assess viability of these markets, addressable customer budgets and competitive landscape to assess where investments should be focused.
•Leading the identification, prioritization and qualification of pursuits through the LM Space new business process, and supporting the management of the overall RF new business portfolio to ensure diversification of risk and achievement of LRP growth goals.
•Managing and orchestrating RF customer engagement activities across the SPLOB, as defined in strategic and capture plans. Initiating and growing customer relationships in core and near-core markets to ensure mission understanding, competitive position and aggressive growth.
•Overseeing and managing pursuit, capture and proposal activities within the RF swimlane, ensuring alignment with strategy, discriminating value propositions, competitive bid approach and high win rate.
•Communicating with and engaging SPLOB and LM Space senior leadership for the purpose of engaging internal stakeholders, obtaining approvals and building advocacy for growth plans and pursuits.
•Collaborating closely with organizations across the SPLOB, LM Space and the broader Lockheed Martin Corporation to ensure coordination of new business activities and maximum leverage of LMC resources to grow the business.

Active TS/SCI with poly security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US citizenship required.
Desired Skills: •Ability to think strategically and manage the development and execution of long-range objectives and strategic plans by identifying internal and external strategic opportunities and issues that could affect growth and profitability.
•Knowledge of RF markets, Core and Near-Core customers, their missions, enabling technologies, core programs, key opportunities and adjacent growth markets.
•Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in developing and delivering superior products with constrained schedules and resources
•Preferred experience engaging with Congressional professional staff and International customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•10 years of experience in Aerospace and Defense BD execution and/or leadership roles, with preferred specific experience in Intelligence Community markets and RF missions, customers and capabilities.
•Strong experience with space-based RF markets, applicable customers and their missions, enabling technologies, core programs and key acquisitions.
•Experience executing growth strategy to identify and qualify new markets and specific opportunities, executing a capture plan to shape and position, and developing a discriminating offering with strong value proposition.
•Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in developing and delivering superior products with constrained schedules and resources.
•Direct experience engaging with high-level government stakeholders and customers in the Intelligence Community to understand mission need and effectively communicate a value proposition.
•Willingness to travel domestically frequently and internationally as needed, with occasional over-the-weekend and extended travel.
•Demonstrated ability to proactively drive change and aggressively engage competitively to grow a large business unit in the aerospace industry.
•Leadership and engagement skills to motivate and effectively direct a cross-functional capture team.
•Very strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
•Active TS/SCI clearance
•Industry-applicable B.S. or B.A. degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
