As a member of the Readiness System Engineering group you be part of a team responsible for the readiness awareness of the Aegis Weapon System and Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR). Within these systems our product lines are responsible for performing fault detection/isolation (FD/FI) and providing their crew, our customer, the readiness situation for their missions. As part of the Readiness System Engineering group your responsibilities will span from System level design thru to integration and test (I&T) and on site customer support and delivery. Tasking will include development of system design of mission critical software requirements to using SysML diagrams and constructs; receive and display status; perform fault detection and isolation of the system; trend analytics/prognostics of the system hardware; the integration, test, and verification of the product; (potential/optional) travel for on-site support to the customer. Other responsibilities include: interfacing with the customer to perform test and evaluation activities; interfacing with internal software to isolate and fix issues as they arise for various functional areas; and supporting the various testing groups (EI&T, MEIT, and ORTS computer program developers).
Basic Qualifications:
BSEE, BS Computer Science, or equivalent.

Ability to perform data analysis and code inspection in order to troubleshoot element and system level issues.

Candidate should be capable of working in a fast paced environment, supporting multiple projects.

Excellent verbal and written communication skill is required.

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Desired Skills:
Familiar with system engineering processes with particular emphasis on top-down design starting from high level system requirements through the allocation of system components to computer programs.

Familiar with software engineering design practices and patterns.

Familiar with data analytics.

Familiar with Algorithm definition and development.

Experience in the design of software applications and systems models using SysML, or UML, diagrams and constructs within a SysML tool suite (Rhapsody experience preferred).

Knowledgeable in Unix/Linux.

Experience in Agile work environment. (SCRUM/KANBAN/etc.)

Knowledge of Unix and Windows operating environments with knowledge in Java, C, C++ and next generation computer coding languages, object oriented programming, XML, SQL, NoSQL and other database structures.

Familiarity with databases such as Oracle, Firebird, and MySQL.
