Aircraft Associate Technical Writer

Description:Evaluate technical content of Publication Change Requests (PCR's) and prioritize for incorporation into the technical manuals. Track progress of PCR's, generate reports from database, review schedules, and track budget utilized by the technical publications authors. Coordinate department tasking priorities with management and customer representatives. Deliver electronic manuals onto customer website in accordance with electronic data delivery requirements. Make technical changes to existing manuals in accordance with military specifications, program and government processes and instructions.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Journalism, English, Communications or related disciplines.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with Microsoft office applications Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, VisualBasic. Experience working with database applications.
Familiarity with Air Force technical manual update processes. Experience with Access or VisualBasic scripting. Experience with SGML authoring tools. Familiarity with aircraft systems.
