Aegis Operations Specialist / Aegis Trainer

Description: This position requires development of Curriculum materials for International Program instruction of Junior and Senior Naval Officers on the Aegis Programs in support of the Combat System Operations, and BMD Tactical Employment Duties and Responsibilities. Additional responsibility includes but not limited to instructor led training, course content, student learning objectives; preparation of course syllabi, lesson plans, testing, and student manuals. Evaluates training materials and procedures and makes or recommends revisions to keep courses current with software and equipment design. Counsels and evaluates student performance. Requires 10% travel. Candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as an instructor and curriculum development knowledge.
Desired Skills: Qualified in Tactical Data Link, GGCS-M, and IFF Operations.
Experience as an Aegis Training Supervisor
Experience with Cooperative Engagement Capability.
Qualified in BMD operations on an Aegis Cruiser or Destroyer.
Instruction for Foreign and/or U.S. Navy Military personnel on the Aegis Weapons System.
Knowledge of MSWord, MS PowerPoint and MSExcel programs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as an instructor and curriculum development knowledge.
Be familiar with NAVEDTRA 131 naval training standards and instructional system design.
Have the ability to create and update lesson plans, trainee guides, and presentation materials.
Instruct in both classroom and laboratory environments.
Candidate needs to be an Aegis Operations Specialist or CIC Officer with technical and employment knowledge of weapon systems on board Aegis Cruisers and Destroyers.
Be self-motivated, self-starter, reliable to work independently and as a team member and be willing to learn new equipment and systems to develop comprehensive training programs
