Product Placement (Merchandising) - Part Time

Job Summary: The Product Placement (Merchandising) Team Member is an integral part of the Living Spaces Brand experience. This position performs a number of job functions that are critical to offering our customers the best experience when they shop in our store. This position reports to the Brand Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support retail store operations in reaching goals by providing superior customer service and assisting with operational activities
  • Support our brand with the movement and display of furniture and accessories throughout the store
  • Work with visual team to ensure products are displayed according to Plan-o-gram
  • Ensure products are unloaded, received and set for special promotions and events within the store
  • Work within a Merchandising team to set floor displays
  • Initiate contact with guests to make them feel welcome, by assessing their needs and providing courteous, helpful and knowledgeable service
  • Process and track customer pick up, and incoming and outgoing product transfers
  • Provides warehouse support, stocking and inventory functions
  • Print new POP and update product
  • Follow loss prevention and safety procedures
  • Prior retail, warehouse or customer service experience preferred
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to succeed
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must complete in-house lift certification & warehouse equipment certification


Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree or higher a plus
  • 2 years' experience in merchandising/warehousing and/or a retail environment preferred
  • Follow direction from management team on floor displays
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Loading and unloading of merchandise
  • Ability to climb 6 foot ladder
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities
  • Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Basic knowledge of computers, data entry experience & mathematical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be self-motivated and able to complete many tasks with minimal supervision
  • Respond to guest requests for service and assistance; meets commitments
  • Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Stellar communication skills and ability to engage guests in a relaxed yet focused manner.
  • Ability to work flexible retail hours which include weekend, evenings and most holidays.
