Position Summary Supervisor DC Operations
Vision and Values:
•This SPEED Supervisor Operating Summary provides clear direction to optimize "SOP Best Practice" to ensure day-to-day planning and performance indicators are within Scope of our key objectives to be the Best in Class in all of our markets.
Summary: Provide guidance and development support for SPEED (continuous improvement) projects within facility operations, promoting understanding, tracking and applications of SPEED SOP Principles.
•Coordinates SOP initiatives at the facility and trains associates, driving continuance improvement.
•Ensures that training teams are established within the DC and are implementing SOP's, techniques and best practices matching to requirements.
•Makes implementation and results a top priority and regularly updates the DC's implementation plan.
•Provides effective change management, leadership, and optimization in implementing the corporate Strategy across the Facility.
•Provides a high level of technical and operational recommendations in meeting measurable objectives, product quality and customer service goals.
•Ensures on-going education of all employees within SOP Standards.
•Promotes all SOP to be within Compliance and drive Continuous Learning environment
•They will facilitate and manage SPEED activities and Audits, to ensure on-time completion and report results
•They will implement communication tools to foster an environment and improve culture
•Participating in SPEED improvements events, cross functional
•Strong communication skills. Must be able to work closely with others to collaborate on completion of common goals.
•Assist in the development of SOP's specifically focused on facility processes.
•Ensures the development of a robust SPEED Future State Strategy to be implemented at the DC.
•Works with DC management on SPEED process projects using tools and metrics.
•Ensures the development of a robust Lean Future State Strategy to be implemented at the DC. Leads and guides Lean initiatives within the DC. Works with DC management on Lean process projects using lean tools and metrics. Assists in the development of a Lean Strategy to be implemented
•Ensures that teams are established at the location and are implementing Lean principles, techniques, and methodologies according to corporate requirements. Technologies and methodologies include Value Steam Mapping and Value Added Processes
•Makes implementation and results a top priority and regularly updates the DC's Lean implementation plan. Empowers every employee in the DC through positive reinforcement of Lean.
•Develop visual controls and signage to reinforce processes, provide metrics.
