Reliability Engineers at Lithium are responsible for the overall stability, health and growth of the infrastructure and product scalability. They automate repeatable tasks and create tools for engineering teams to manage our products. As part of the reliability engineering team you will work alongside seasoned engineers that are passionate about building resilient and scalable distributed systems.
Lead and mentor reliability engineers
Develop tools and services that maintain and scale our products
Work closely with product and development teams to understand their needs
Translate business needs into efficient and secure architecture
7+ years of experience as (SRE) or software engineer
Proficiency of Linux/UNIX operating systems
Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP
Fluent in Java and understanding of JVM
Distributed system platform architecture
Proficient in configuration management automation (Chef or Puppet)
Ability to articulate technical issues in a concise manner
Team player, with strong mentoring skills
Agile methodologies and project management experience
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis experience
Scripting languages: Bash, Python or Ruby
Networking (BGP, OSPF, IPv6, IPSec, SDN)
Contributions to Open Source projects
