Data Center Operations Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain datacenter and cloud infrastructure
  • Coordinate and perform duties for multiple data centers including remote hands
  • Monitor infrastructure stability, capacity and performance
  • Develop tools to build, maintain, and monitor infrastructure
  • Work cross-functionally with various product engineering teams
  • Improve the reliability and efficiency of Lithium products
  • Write comprehensive documentation
  • Respond to incidents and participate in an on-call rotation

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Linux/UNIX systems administration experience
  • Expert level knowledge of AWS with SysOps focus
  • Configuration management using Chef and/or Puppet
  • Shell and/or Python scripting
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bachelors degree with technical major or equivalent experience


Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • MySQL, PostgresSQL and Cassandra database administration and tuning experience
  • Hadoop, Cassandra or other large distributed data store experience
  • Experience in server/network hardening and security best practices
