Program Overview: The Lincoln Center Internship Program is a paid, in-person arts administration internship designed for NYC-based undergraduate and graduate students seeking meaningful, real-world experience in the cultural sector. This program cultivates the next generation of leaders by offering hands-on work opportunities and access to professionals across the arts and culture field.
The Venue Sales Intern will support the team with administrative, client-facing, and project coordination. The role offers exposure to event planning, sales operations, and venue management while allowing the intern to learn by shadowing experienced staff. What you'll get to do:
- Provide administrative support for the Venue Sales team (e.g., scheduling, document prep, sending client communications)
- Shadow sales managers through the end-to-end event sales process
- Join internal meetings and site visits to learn how events are scoped, contracted, and executed
- Assist with day-to-day tasks including preparing sales materials and coordinating with departments such as Production, Guest Experience, and Campus Relations
- Learn the contracting process and how client needs are translated into successful event logistics
- Support team in maintaining Salesforce records and follow-ups with prospective clients
- Engage in cross-functional communication to support the smooth execution of events across campus
- Other duties as needed, especially during high-volume event periods
You'll be a great fit if you are:
- A rising junior, senior, or graduate student currently enrolled in a college or university with an interest in event production, venue sales, or hospitality
- Based in New York City or the Greater NYC area
- Available to work in-person 20 hours per week from September-December on Tuesday through Thursday during standard business hours (exact hours may vary by event schedule)
- A self-starter who also thrives in team environments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable learning in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting quickly
- Have prior customer service or administrative experience is a plus
