Program Overview: The Lincoln Center Internship Program is a paid, in-person arts administration internship designed for NYC-based undergraduate and graduate students seeking meaningful, real-world experience in the cultural sector.
This program cultivates the next generation of leaders by offering hands-on work opportunities and access to professionals across the arts and culture field.
As part of this program, the Advocacy and Campaigns Intern will support the Legacies of San Juan Hill initiative-an interdisciplinary exploration of the history of the San Juan Hill neighborhood and its cultural legacies-alongside other department projects that advance Lincoln Center's mission and values. What you'll get to do:
- Provide administrative support for events and performances in the Legacies of San Juan Hill series
- Conduct research, including:
- Identifying and sourcing archival photographs
- Researching potential contributors (e.g., writers, artists, scholars) for the San Juan Hill editorial hub and speakers for related talks
- Fact-checking content for editorial and public-facing materials
- Submit image licensing and media permissions requests
- Collect and organize content for editorial projects (e.g., performance programs)
- Draft internal materials such as briefs, prep documents, and reports
- Assist with research and administrative tasks on additional department campaigns and initiatives as assigned
- Support internal communications and documentation through Microsoft Office and/or SharePoint
You'll be a great fit if you are:
- A college student, graduate student, or recent graduate with an interest in public history, storytelling, editorial work, and/or artistic research
- Based in New York City or the Greater NYC area
- Available to work 20 hours per week from September-December 2025
- Available for occasional in-person events outside of regular business hours, especially during the month of October
- Skilled in research, writing, and proofreading
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
- A self-starter who also thrives in team environments
- Passionate about arts, leadership, and community impact
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word shared documents), Canva, and ideally familiar with a digital asset management system (helpful but not required)

- A short writing sample (400-800 words). Journalistic pieces are preferred-such as an article written for a school newspaper, blog post, or similar.
