Arkansas Lighthouse Academies Charter School District is seeking a Meals Manager for the 2021-2022 school year. This position is located in Jacksonville, AR.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A Lighthouse Academies food service manager is responsible for the school's food service program. This program includes breakfast and lunch service for students and facilitation of the use of Food Service facilities for other school events. The person is required to ensure that all State and Federal regulations and local policies are followed. The work environment includes office work, site work, and attendance at meetings in school buildings and at other locations. The food service manager works to create and enhance a culture of achievement and respect in the kitchen and cafeteria where high expectations and results are the norm. The food service manager's actions must always be aligned with our mission, vision, core values and education program. The essential functions for our food service manager are as follows:

• Review all State and Federal regulations and ensure these are implemented.
• Complete written reports, financial reports, warrants, purchases in accordance with State and Federal regulations and local policy, including all documents required by the Free and Reduced Lunch Program.
• Review Department of Public Health regulations and ensure the program is in compliance at all times.
• Maintain certificates as required for the operation of the program.
• Oversee and manage collection of cash and statistical information.
• Assist Office Manager with other needed tasks.

Examples of Work:
• Prepares food in accordance with the daily menu.
• Serves food in a quick and pleasant manner.
• Completes daily tallies, cash receipt reports, requisitions for food and kitchen supplies and signs invoice slips.
• Completes clean-up activities.
• Prepares statistical and financial reports.
• Completes order forms for vendors, forms for reimbursements and Free and Reduced Lunch forms.
• Purchases food and supplies in the most cost effective manner while ensuring high quality. • Completes monthly inventory and adjusts orders to ensure efficient use of resources, reduce waste.

• Collaborate with colleagues (school-wide meetings, food service manager calls/trainings, professional development days) to continuously improve personal practice and to support the achievement of the overall goals and mission of the school and the network.
• Access meaningful learning experiences (professional development opportunities, ideas from colleagues and supervisors) and exercise judgment in accepting findings as valid for application in practice and improvement.
• Reflect critically upon experience and practice; identify areas for further professional development as part of a professional development plan that is linked to professional growth and school/network level goals; access meaningful learning experiences; listen thoughtfully to other viewpoints and responds constructively to suggestions and criticisms.
• Use feedback to inform and update Individual Professional Development Plan.
• Fulfill all outlined and related functions professionally, timely and thoroughly.
Skills/Requirements
I. EDUCATION: High school diploma, with post secondary course work in food service, management and nutrition desired.
II. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Administrative experience
• Demonstration of cultural competency with respect to school's student population
• Effective interpersonal skills to provide high quality customer service
• Working knowledge of school administrative systems and student information systems
• Data managements tools, organizational tools, computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
• Excellent organization skills; demonstrated decision-making and problem solving skills
• Three (3) years working in a food service program.
