Director, Strategic Partnerships

This role is responsible for securing new partnerships to expand the distribution network of Lending Club’s products. The role will have direct responsibility for working with organizations in a consultative way: helping companies understand how Lending Club products can be leveraged as financial solution for their clients. This person will focus on the growth of Lending Club’s corporate partnership efforts and will be an outward facing representative for Lending Club. The position will report to the VP Strategic Partnerships (Investor Group).

Responsibilities

  • Execute on the plan to advance expansion of the Lending Club products at the enterprise level
  • Propagate retail distribution channels with partners with special focus on developing retail-oriented products with partners
  • Develop, enhance and leverage relationships with executive decision makers
  • Resp onsible for driving sales, service and communication with clients and prospects
  • Develop and deliver persuasive client communications including client presentations
  • Compile and analyze results and trends across developed strategic relationships
  • Track and monitor existing relationships through database usage
  • Partner across the organization to deliver the full breadth of resources and solutions to clients
  • Cultivate strong relationships with a roster of clients, becoming the primary person for account specific information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development with a proven track record of developing and commercializing client relationships
  • Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of the financial services universe, including asset managers, custodians, wirehouses, and service providers
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong sales presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse set of clients
  • High energy, positive team player that works well with others
  • Adaptable disposition
  • Thrives working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
