The opportunity:

  • Be responsible for all investing activities across the nearly $1B portfolios managed by LC Advisors, LLC
  • Define and build out the processes and capabilities that will enable the LC Advisors platform to scale by orders of magnitude as a direct result of your work
  • Contribute to LendingClub’s vision to transform banking by making borrowing more affordable and investing more rewarding

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee investment activity across the LCA funds and separately managed accounts that are consistent with stated investment objectives
  • Maintain tight tracking error versus respective benchmarks and targets; help define and operationalize benchmarks and target
  • Monitor and report on transaction activity, risk exposures and concentration limits, and asset/fund performance
  • Own the end-to-end investment process: refine, streamline and document investment and portfolio management processes and controls, to increase efficiency, ensure best execution for investors, comply with legal and regulatory requirements and minimize operational risk
  • Analyze and attribute portfolio performance; interface with 3rd party valuation provider
  • Think like an investor; monitor capital markets and sector events; understand second and third order effects on the portfolios and relevant benchmarks
  • Provide investment commentary and conduct targeted analyses to support investor reports and monthly communications, and to support preparation of marketing materials
  • Partner with cross-functional teams as needed with respect to the investment process
  • Work with the product development team on the launch and construction of new products

Required background:

  • Analytical experience with fixed income investments at an asset manager or other financial institution
  • Strong quantitative background; you should be very well versed in Excel and should be comfortable with or willing to quickly utilize SQL, tableau and other database and data analytics tools
  • 5+ years of analytical financial services experience
  • Proven experience managing operational processes and controls in a highly regulated environment
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study
  • CFA designation preferred

  • Masters degree, PhD., or MBA
  • Fixed income portfolio management experience
