Credit Risk Manager, New Product Development

Position Description:

This individual within New Product Development will be responsible for creating the next generation of consumer lending products in peer-to-peer lending. He/she will be responsible for new products opportunity sizing, developing business case with data as back up, monitoring new products performance and recommending adjustments as needed. He/she will report to the Director of Growth Initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

Help shape Lending Club strategy for achieving aggressive growth targets.

Develop business case, formulate analysis and lead internal teams for growth initiatives.

Analyze performance of existing customers and identify opportunities to optimize pricing, balancing risk and return for our investors.

Work closely with Engineering and Product to ensure flawless implementation and rollout of new initiatives and policy changes. Ready to dig deep into discrepancies when necessary.

Perform strategic analysis for senior executives. Formulate hypotheses, gather data to support them, and present findings.

Experiment with new tools and techniques to improve insights.

Qualifications:

Bachelor/Master Degree in engineering, math, statistics or other data-oriented field. Masters is a plus.

A generalist who can develop high level strategic vision, dive into data, build compelling stories, drive execution and present to executives.

High efficiency.

5-7 years of data mining or analytics experience. Lending or fintech experience strongly preferred.

Proficient in Tableau, SQL/SAS, and other business intelligence tools.

MS Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint and strong Excel skills.
