Director Closing

The Director Closing will report directly to the VP of Operations. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, managing back office (operations) staff as well as boarding and FICS administration. Aspects of the position will entail direct communication with servicing clients, guaranteeing the utmost professionalism is provided while ensuring all requests are handled promptly to the client’s satisfaction. The Director Closing will also be responsible for ensuring metrics are established to measure performance and ensure contractual service level agreements (SLA) are adhered to. The position entails regular communication with Senior Management, which includes reporting on all responsibilities assigned.

Essential Functions

Create and monitor metrics for staff. Included is consistent feedback to staff by providing regular reviews

Create KPIs for the department, KPIs are to be reported to management on a weekly/monthly basis

Participates in conference calls/sit visits with clients; answer questions about loan transfers and operational functions.

Ensure all loans are transferred within contractual agreed upon timeframes, included is ensuring the client is aware of the progression/progress and transfers are successful

Ensure P&Ps are created and adhered to for all responsible functions

Assists with Client On Boarding Process for new clients

Partner with Technology Team on enhancements/automation to current processes

Partner with all Departments to ensure common strategic goals are met

Analyze portfolio data to ensure we are in compliance and errors are minimal

FICS Administrator; including, partnering with internal departments to ensure system is being utilized correctly and efficiently as well as serving as point person for all system release updates

Manage the imaging process, ensuring documents are indexed correctly

Manage the correspondence process

Manage ARM administration

Manage Tax, Insurance, and Escrow process

Vendor Management for back office functions outsourced

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will view, have access to, and work with confidential financial data. The employee in this position must adhere to strict confidentiality policies and procedures.

Perform related duties as requested.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or related studies required. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education

Experience:

Minimum of 10 or more years of mortgage servicing experience

Analytical background preferred

Minimum of 5 years working on FICS

Previous supervisory experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

The ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer related to job tasks.

Successful candidate will need extensive Excel background.

Must have analytical skills and the ability to interpret loan data

Understanding of MERS/experience in the MERS Online system is preferred

Work in an environment that requires multitasking and the ability to prioritize workload

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

A high level of attention to detail.
