Job Title: Senior SQL Business Intelligence Developer (SSBID-KC)
Location: Glendale, California
Job Duties: Defining, designing and implementing business intelligence (BI) technologies and services to enable the analysis of data to support strategic initiatives and ongoing business requirements; Perform analysis, design, configuration and implementation of data warehouses, business intelligence applications, and underlying relational databases, while maintaining existing systems; Develop data warehouse and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools and underlying technologies; Maintain and support the existing Revenue and Accounting reporting systems; Support strategic initiatives and ongoing business requirements in a fast-paced environment; Design and implement reporting applications including (but not limited to) BI dashboards, reporting cubes, emails, and static reports; Deploy and validate reports; Work with project lead and business users to gather requirements, conduct analysis and prepare specifications; Translate project requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for BI reports and applications; Contribute to and support the organization's Business Intelligence strategy; Development and implementation of tactical and strategic data warehousing solutions including corporate Data Warehouse; Develop, implement and maintain test strategies and plans; Design and implement multi-dimensional models, including the construction of Data View, Dimensions, and Cubes while adhering to enforced development methodologies; Design and implement reporting applications including (but not limited to) BI dashboards, reporting cubes and static reports; Convert existing reporting tools to a standardized reporting infrastructure using SQL and Microsoft products; Design and implement required interfaces for the data warehouse including to BI tools and other applications used by the business; Design and implement the data loading (ETL) and publishing processes within the DW/BI environment.
Education and Experience: Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field and 2 years of related experience. In the alternative will accept a Bachelor degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and related field and 5 years of related experience.
