About the Role

Leanplum is looking for a Email Deliverability Specialist to join our email team. This role, based in New York, will focus on inbox placement and troubleshooting deliverability for clients such as Tinder, Grab, NBC, and Zynga.

About You 

  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus
  • 3+ years of experience in sending large scale email campaigns
  • 1+ years of experience in email deliverability specialist role
  • You are a problem solver. You enjoy looking to campaign analytics and multiple toolsets to investigate issues.
  • Have sent large scale email campaigns through an ESP (MailChimp, Pardot, SendGrid, Sparkpost, Oracle or Marketo)
  • Have worked with rendering tools such as 250ok, Litmus, or Email on Acid
  • Monitored inbox placement through tools such as eDataSource or Return Path
  • Submitted remediation through Postmaster or RBL’s
  • Have parsed through SMTP logs, bounce messages and non-delivery reports
  • Able to explain communicate with clients and internal team members in a technical and non-technical manner
  • Team player, yet you work well independently in a fast-growing startup
  • Familiar with CAN-SPAM and other email compliance regulations
  • College degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Optimize inbox placement for clients
  • Troubleshoot deliverability and client email related inquiries
  • Mitigation at top tier anti-spam solution vendors (Spamhaus, Cloudmark, SORBS, and SpamCop)
  • Help clients onboard for email with domain setup, IP warmup, sending strategy and email best practices
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to build out email products
  • Create and update email trainings and materials for clients
  • Present during sales calls and occasionally travel for prospective email clients
