Jr. Personal Care Data Analyst

About the role:

We are looking to bring in an entry level data analyst to learn and help to power the data transparency initiative.  This position would primarily work within our non-foods team, and a strong interest or knowledge of the personal care and household goods industry would be preferred.  This person should be very self motivated and thrive in a fast paced and rapidly changing startup environment. The ability to multi-task, manage numerous priorities, and communicate, will help a candidate succeed in this role. Experience in data analysis would be a plus and a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a scientific or related field. The person who fills this role should also be an extremely quick and independent learner.

 What you’ll be Responsible for:

  • Conducting research on current regulations and trends within the personal care and household goods industry trends to assist with the internal data taxonomy development.
  • Acting as support on various projects led by senior team members.
  • Assisting clients with developing off-package information to increase transparency on Smart Label pages.
  • Working on team initiatives through joint independent work.
  • Working alongside industry experts on cutting edge and dynamic projects.
  • Helping to manage a database of ingredients, claims, and nutrient data.
  • Working cross-functionally within data and tech departments.
  • Writing, running, and interpreting SQL queries and results.
  • Leading individual quarterly projects as assigned
  • Creating reports for both clients and internal management.
  • Providing status updates to management addressing project status, risks and roadblocks.

About You / Your Creds:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Interest or experience in the personal care or household goods industry preferred
