Content and Social Marketing Associate

L2 is looking for a top-notch Content and Social Marketing Associate to join our growing team in New York City. You will report to our Manager of Content and Social Marketing and work closely with L2's Creative and Marketing staff. As the primary ungated access points to our research, L2 marketing content is a key channel for driving business development and thought leadership. By contributing both content and strategy, you will have a direct impact on the continued growth of our business and market position.


The ideal candidate will be passionate about writing compelling, research- and trend-based content, a strong story-teller and social media evangelist, and comfortable with web and social analytics.


Job responsibilities:

  • Support the team in planning blog content for strategic, balanced coverage in entrenched and emerging verticals

  • Draft 2-3 blog entries per day based on L2 research and industry trends, and work with the Manager to edit and release

  • Coordinate with research teams to drive guest blog contributions; Edit guest posts

  • Work closely with Marketing team to develop and execute social media strategy and experiments based on site (Google Analytics) and social platform (Hootsuite) analytics

  • Collaborate closely with creative and design teams to develop engaging assets for social distribution

  • Share blog and other newsletter content to third-party distribution channels for additional reach (Medium); Continuously test burgeoning channels



  • 2-3 years of news or blog writing experience

  • Extremely strong writing and copyediting skills

  • Knowledge of owned social media best practices and interest in testing/experimenting

  • Proficiency reading and building strategy from site and social media analytics data

  • Collaborative, bold, industrious, curious, an aspiring thought-leader

  • An exquisite attention to detail

  • Ability to deliver content in volume and meet deadlines, while also having a point of view on strategic topics

  • Strong communicator: Able to distill data into strategic implications and opportunities for our clients, crafting a clear narrative

  • Consulting: A supreme ability to act as a strategic advisor to executive level clients (whether internal or external clients), using data to support actionable recommendations

  • Presentation design and delivery: Expertise in crafting and delivering Powerpoint presentations with high attention to detail

  • Fast-learner with a self-starter attitude: Highly disciplined, execution-orientated and able to work using own initiative. Experience within smaller, fast moving organizations will be of benefit.
