Position Summary:
Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Essential Job Functions:

  • Promote trust and respect among associates.
  • Enter patient's information into computer accurately and efficiently.
  • Count and prepare specified product using company best practices.
  • Follow the appropriate staging procedures.
  • Maintain records on prescription volume and sales.
  • Perform posting audits.
  • Input accuracy scanner data weekly.
  • Tender customer transactions in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Promote for sale to our customers any current charitable promotions.
  • Understand and follow the guidelines in scanning every item.
  • Understand and follow the company guidelines for B.O.B., scanning every item, and tendering electronic fund transactions, such as credit/debit cards, EBT and gift cards, as well as cash and check transactions.
  • Understand and adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, coin star vouchers and the use of store coupon keys and codes.
  • Understand and adhere to the company's limits on cash shortages and work honestly and effectively to control loss.
  • Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines and to guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, fireworks, videos, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station.
  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold throughout the store.
  • Interact with customers and coworkers in a professional and positive manner.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions and notifying store management of unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report all safety risks or issues and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position/Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Possess high school diploma or equivalent
  • Enrolled in an accredited State Pharmacy School
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
