Position Summary:
Work on lifecycle marketing programs which engage customers at moments of influence throughout various journeys and strengthens their relationship with Kroger, growing sales and loyalty. Responsible for providing channel strategy and expertise across a wide-range of channels including email, mobile messaging, affiliate marketing, social media, search engine marketing (SEM), direct mail, in-store visual and broadcast. Essential Job Functions:

  • Champion marketing personalization and customer segmentation across consumer-facing campaigns and communications to drive both in-store and ecommerce sales and increased customer loyalty
  • In conjunction with Strategic Planning, develop an editorial/customer lifecycle calendar and segmentation strategy
  • Determine A/B and multivariate testing strategy and utilize cohesive cross-channel engagement strategies
  • Lead efforts to layer on lifecycle marketing opportunities across customer journey, leveraging journey mapping
  • Serve as channel expert across email, mobile messaging, affiliate marketing, social media, SEM, direct mail, in-store visual and broadcast
  • Create and maintain documentation regarding best use of channels based on industry best practices, marketing mix optimization and channel performance metrics
  • Work with Marketing Automation Team to implement lifecycle marketing programs, closely tracking performance and wiring results into optimization plans
  • Communicate program goals, plan & results internally to stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of channel-specific and lifecycle marketing trends/innovation and identify new opportunities for value creation

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education Requirements:
  • 7+ years' experience working across a broad range of marketing channels with a strong bias towards consumer digital and other targeted channels (e.g. direct mail)
  • 3+ years' experience working for multi-channel retailer or account
  • High level experience developing successful acquisition, engagement and retention strategies and tactics
  • High level strategic & critical thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities to maximize company ROI
  • Strong analytical skills and a drive to experiment; demonstrated ability to use data to drive decision making
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related area
  • Experience implementing customer lifecycle programs for a large, multi-channel retailer
  • Experience working with marketing automation platforms
  • Expertise across owned, earned and paid channels
  • Success working in fast-paced environment with ability to identify resources needed and reprioritize project tasks while meeting deadlines and goals
  • Proven success working in highly matrixed, fast-paced environment
