BUSINESS IMPACT STATEMENT Build, drive and execute annual Strategic Integrated Marketing Plans by Category, informed by Customer Insights, Market Insights, and Category Growth Plans. Build best in class Vendor Relationships aligning our shared strategic objectives through strategic marketing plans and Co-Op investments. Be the Strategic Marketing Partner to the Category leads and key Collaborative Partner to the COEs within the Marketing organization.

ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Lead with Customer First and Enterprise growth mentality
  • Build Seasonal and Annual Category Marketing Strategy, informed by Customer and Market Insights and Category Strategies
  • Build Content Execution Plans that support Growth Categories and Role of Category
  • Drive Strategy and Execution of External Co-Op Campaigns
  • Build best in class Vendor Relationships
  • Key Collaborative Partner to rest of Marketing Organization
  • Drive Marketing Strategy with Category GMs and Category Leads
  • Empowered decision maker in key meetings where VP/Director unable to attend
  • Establish best practices and vision for Category Marketing Team to ensure consistency across categories 
  • Drive Go To Market strategy with strategic vendors.  Set Co-Op goals and drive incremental investments
  • Elevate leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, driving strong results of the category.
  • Create an empowered and effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, collaborative teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communication
  • Develop team through coaching, providing actionable feedback, effective performance assessments and establishing team performance expectations and development plans
  • Understand macro view of business to ensure insightful strategies are executed

BUSINESS COMPLEXITY 
  • Category complexity based on the following criteria - size of business, scope of work, number of classifications/sub categories, business complexity, vendor complexity (including number of, Co-Op management, and potential market travel), participation in and volume of annual marketing events
QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in managing direct reports
  • 5- 6+ years of Marketing of related experience
  • Prefer experience in retail marketing
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to draw meaningful observations from various sources of data 
  • Ability to influence others through clear communication and direction, executive presence and storytelling 
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence senior leadership, team members, cross functional partners, and external stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker, self motivated and results oriented 
  • Customer obsessed 
  • Financial acumen 
  • Ability to drive and manage through change
