Part-Time Smart Home Technology Associate

The Smart Home Associate drives sales and creates a positive experience for Customers through relationships, product knowledge and operational execution. Maintain a great looking store, interact with Customers on the salesfloor, and utilize technology to assist in the shopping experience.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • "Smiles and Says Hi!" Greets all Customers and Associates, assists in a friendly, courteous manner and adheres to the "Yes We Can" policy efficiently resolving Customer's questions and requests
  • Consistently uses the 5 step GREAT program while interacting with Customers: Greets and Engages Customer, Requests Credit, Explains Savings, Asks to complete the Survey and Thanks the Customer
  • Able to learn and adapt to current technology to assist Customer needs
  • Maintain fitting rooms, sales floor, and work areas according to Company best practices
  • Flexible and willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed
  • Communicate product knowledge both clearly and effectively
  • Stay up-to-date with technology and assist customers with questions and the setup process
  • Troubleshoot products ensuring they are working properly
  • Complete all transactions, payments, deposits and inventory requests accurately
  • Restock products from the stockroom to ensure products are readily available for customers
  • Maintain a neat Smart Home Shop environment ensuring that products are restocked and that displayed products are working
  • Pick up hours outside of Smart Home Shop, as desired


QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving about the departments. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis
  • Adherence to Company policy and procedures
  • Regular attendance
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and attention to detail
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others


PREFERRED
  • Prior retail experience
  • Comfortable with the use of technology consistently while performing the required tasks
