Manager, Segmentation & Targeting

Manages machine learning algorithms to deliver best-in-class personalization, maximizing customer lifetime value.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

DATA SCIENCE

  • Implement advanced methods of personalization through the design, development and refinement of predictive models and optimization algorithms
  • Serve as analytics subject matter expert in CRM by gaining a deep understanding of our current algorithms, data and operations
  • Perform pre-campaign analytics and make recommendations regarding strategy and execution
  • Communicate the story behind our models


CAMPAIGN OPERATIONS
  • Design processes
  • Automate creation of targeting criteria for recurring campaigns using SAS and SQL
  • Work with stakeholders to properly formulate campaign business requirements
  • Collaborate with campaign execution and reporting teams to deliver flawless execution in marketing


DATA MANAGEMENT
  • Serve as technical subject matter expert by gaining a solid understanding of underlying data, database and data processes
  • Perform UAT on CRM data and campaign metadata
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues as they appear


LEADERSHIP
  • Act as a thought leader on the team, with insight into how processes should run, where data is and how to improve upon existing models


MANAGEMENT OF ASSOCIATES
  • Responsible for associate performance, development and feedback
  • Oversees areas of responsibility, plans, prioritizes and directs the work of a team of associates
  • Leads by example to demonstrate to associates Kohl's values


QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's Degree in quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Economics, etc
  • 5+ years of experience working with relational databases and can demonstrate advanced SQL skills
  • 5+ years of experience with predictive analytics using SAS, R, or Python
  • Strong Unix command-line skills
  • 4+ years of experience with developing and scaling predictive models and optimization algorithms for marketing use cases (retail preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience designing marketing automation processes
  • Strong knowledge of CRM data management best practices
  • Ability to manage major projects within a fast paced environment while maintaining core operations


PREFERRED
  • Master's Degree in quantitative field
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud environments
