Manager, Media Optimization & Attribution

The Manager of Media Optimization & Attribution leads a team in delivering insights based on media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution and tests, as well as media spend optimizations to drive business-critical decisions for Senior Leadership. In addition, Manage MMM & MTA vendor relationship including sourcing data inputs across the organization, model refreshes & data integrations to power attribution models.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
MEDIA ANALYTICS & INSIGHTS
- Develop insights and strategic implications based on media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution models and tests
- Responsible for and takes lead on complex ad hoc requests surrounding media analytics
- Provides Sr. Leadership with necessary historical sales data for planning purposes
- Run real-time budget optimizations
- Media efficiency analytics - Ad Hoc use of model outputs
- Utilize interactive dashboard for Media teams
- Educate and empower media teams to leverage MMM & MTA for campaign level reporting and optimizations
- Conduct cross channel media efficiency analysis, simulation & optimizations to drive recommendations for budget allocation as well as forecasting impacts of redistribution of marketing investments
- Oversee all budget optimization efforts
- Lead the development of interactive dashboard for Media teams and other internal and external partners
QUALITY AND DATA INTEGRITY
- Oversee media data quality initiatives and responsible for on-going success
- Ensure all data is fully integrated into internal systems and accurate
- Liaison with KT to problem solve data issues
- Creates processes around integrity checks
VENDOR MANAGEMENT & AGENCY COLLABORATION
- Manage MMM & MTA engagement
- Partner with Media agency and liaison pass through to MMM & MTA vendor
- Lead and enhance data collection & validation process
MANAGEMENT OF ASSOCIATES
- Responsible for Associate performance, development and feedback
- Oversees areas of responsibility, plans, prioritizes and directs the work of a team of Associates
- Leads by example to demonstrate to Associates Kohl's values
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, econometrics, math, research, or behavioral sciences
- 5+ years of experience in a media measurement or analytics role
- Ability to write SQL or experience in open source programming languages
- Developing dashboards through visualization tools
- Retail knowledge
- Relational database experience
- Expert knowledge of Media Mix Modeling and proven track record in digital analytics & attribution
- Experience working with MMM & MTA models and vendors
- Digital Analytics experience, including Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, A360, and or Google Big Query
PREFERRED
- Teradata experience
- Tableau or Spotfire experience
- Master's Degree or equivalent
- R/Python programming skill
