The Courseware Technologist will build learning activities that include courses, assessments, games, and more that are core to KnowBe4’s customer experience. While you need to understand reasonable software security practices, you do not need to have a background in information security. Just be great at producing online content for eLearning, bring new ideas to the table and contribute to the growing library of content resources! You’ll work together with other eLearning developers, QA and engineers in a fast-paced environment using product/project management tools and developing standards for partners.


  • Build high quality courseware using predetermined files and assets to build SCORM packages
  • Familiarity with various learning management systems
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest eLearning courseware technology tools and best practices to apply them to KnowBe4 courseware and deaminate them to our partners
  • Conform with Web Accessibility requirements to make sure that all learners can access the learning activities created

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. or B.A. in Computer Science or Digital Design (or comparable work experience) required
  • 1 year of relevant experience in learning/online learning
  • Experience with Web Accessibility Standards
  • Experience with learning solutions for iOS, iBooks, Android, and other interactive media/mobile platforms and programming
  • Excellent organization and time management
  • Strong, detail-oriented work ethic
  • Strong relevant experience in HTML/CSS frontend development skill set
  • Ability to integrate graphics, text and voice-over into the final courses 
  • The ability to use a proprietary e-Learning authoring tool to produce e-learning content is a plus
  • Additional programming language skills a plus 
  • Experience with G Suite products and MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
  • A strong passion for learning and adapting to new technologies
  • Language skills: German B1, English C1, other foreign languages are an advantage.
