The Channel Sales Performance Coach is responsible for coaching and overseeing the performance development of sales reps in the Channel area of the organization. This position may directly perform hands-on operational work as necessary to train and/or coach new sales reps, respond to immediate or severe areas of improvement that require correction, or otherwise demonstrate appropriate skills and behaviors to be exhibited by the sales reps.


  • Listen in on sales reps’ demos 
  • Create coaching plans for those sales reps who need correction
  • Coach, roleplay, and drill with sales reps
  • Help sales reps identify their areas of improvement and help them address those areas while strengthening their sales skills overall
  • Set up regular drilling with the sales teams in the Channel area
  • Monitor sales reps statistics for any red flags that could be affecting their sales quotas and help correct those behaviors
  • Inspect pipelines and Salesforce accounts for any errors in handling customers and coach them to improve 
  • Ensure sales reps comply with organization’s policies and procedures, and coach them when any violations occur
  • Implement any special projects in the Channel Sales area as instructed by the Director of Sales Performance, VP Quality Control, Chief Growth Officer and executives over Channel.
  • Coordinate with the Channel leadership team on any special training/coaching projects as requested
  • Keep record of any key objections or customer barriers sales reps are coming up against and create innovative solutions to combat them
  • Coach and roleplay with sales reps on the use of the battlecards


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with the full GSuite tools (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc)
  • Salesforce CRM knowledge preferred
  • Experience with web browsers (Chrome)
  • 1 year experience in coaching or quality control type position
  • 2 year Sales experience or working 1-on-1 with Sales Reps
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to get to the bottom of why a sales rep may be struggling
  • Strong skills in personnel development
  • Strong statistical analysis skills
  • Strong skills in working with people
  • Strong skills in developing plans and drills to help sales reps
