What you’ll do

As the Director of Trade Marketing you will lead the Trade Marketing team that serves as the primary liaison and central point of contact between sales and marketing, as well as work with other internal departments as needed to execute best in class new product launches and sales support. They will improve communication and aid in balancing the priorities and challenges of each team, for both to reach their objectives more efficiently and ultimately increase distribution and sales. And this is how you will do it...

Account Specific Project Management

Manage and prioritize all customer specific Displays, Products and Packaging projects through KIND stage gate process.

Brief projects through KIND vendor network.

Work cross functionally with Operations, Finance and Marketing.

Lead Trade Marketing Strategy development to attain defined business objectives throughout product categories

New Product Launches

Collaborate with Sales Planning to represent sales in the development process, including insights on retail tools, sales samples, in-store placement, etc.

Manage handoff of new product information to sales, including price lists, sell sheets, presentations.

Track new item appointments and results (distribution gains)


Manage communication of forecasts and updates ahead of first ship of products.

Sales Materials

Support on-going maintenance and updates of sales support materials, including Gold Standard presentation slides and sell sheet updates.

Maintain Business Development intranet, and version control of files posted for sales team access across the intranet (Sales, Business Development, Brand Materials, Broker extranet)

General Sales Support

Lead Weekly Sales Call with account sales teams

Route Sales requests through relevant cross functional team (Marketing, Quality, Legal, Regulatory)

Represent sales in weekly cross functional meetings.

Bachelor's degree

Minimum 7 years Trade Marketing/Sales Operations work experience

Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to effectively convey messages to different leaders and ensure collaboration with team members across the business

Maturity in leadership and coaching on strategy and planning

A partnership and relationship-based approach to working across our organization
