Job Title

Job location: This position is to be hired in Canada and will be remote unless you live in the Ottawa area in which the role will be hybrid with a minimum of working in the office 2 to 3 days a week.

About the team


Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial, the Commercial Contracts Manager is responsible for supporting and at times leading multiple areas of contracting activities between Kinaxis and its customer and partner network. These contracting activities include simplified drafting, reviewing, administering, updating, and working with a variety of contracts and other legal documents.


An exceptional communicator and collaborator, the Commercial Contracts Manager will also engage with internal stakeholders across the Legal organization and other teams within Kinaxis to ensure that templates, processes, workflows, and tools are leveraged for maximum efficiency, productivity, and impact. Additionally, the Commercial Contracts Manager will have the opportunity to help shape and support the implementation of new systems and workflows that drive employee self-service and enhance the overall experience within the Legal organization.


What you will do



  • Prepare and draft or revise routine contracts, including NDAs, order forms, customer and partner agreements, and manage all aspects of the contract lifecycle from end to end

  • Review existing workflows and processes related to contracts management within the Commercial Legal team and its internal clients

  • Prepare recommendations, solicit feedback from stakeholders, and conduct work that contributes to the implementation of new workflows and processes, with the goal of improving efficiency and productivity 

  • Facilitate training and communicate to internal Kinaxis stakeholders on changes to processes, workflows, and tools, ensuring effective communication, change management, and adoption

  •  Partner with internal stakeholders across Kinaxis, including to successfully set up new intake systems and other tools, enhancing employee self-service and improving reporting and tracking capabilities

  • Manage a library of templates for use by Commercial Legal team members and other internal stakeholders, ensuring templates are current, compliant, and easily accessible

  • Support on other projects and initiatives within the Commercial legal team as required


What we are looking for



  • A Paralegal or Law Clerk degree, or equivalent professional experience in contract management, preferably in a global, technology focused environment with high volume support of Sales organizations

  • 4+ years of experience in contract management in-house or at a law firm, with a focus on SaaS contracts and direct support of high volume internal clients like Sales and Partner teams

  • Proven working experience setting up new workflows and processes, and supporting the implementation of new tools and systems; experience with ServiceNow, Luminance or other contract management software solution(s) is an asset

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills; demonstrated experience working directly with external clients using a solution-oriented approach

  • Strong presentation skills and experience facilitating training in a meaningful and impactful way to a diverse audience

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills

  • Highly adaptable and flexible; the ability to pivot based on prioritization and business need

  • Proactive; a strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment working independently with minimal supervision
