Supply Chain Operations Manager-Consumer Goods

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager-Consumer Goods in Scottsdale, Arizona (AZ). We are working directly with the Hiring Manager.Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of company product operations, including demand planning, product procurement, manufacturing through third parties, logistics, distribution, new product development, supplier and customer electronic EDI communications
  • Perform the day to day responsibilities associated with accurately and strategically managing and maintaining all facets of inventory including but not limited to statistical demand planning, issuance of purchase orders, bill of materials production, work orders and receipt of goods
  • Evaluation and optimal maintenance of product cost drivers
  • Perform end of month inventory reconciliation, including quarterly physical count reconciliation
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships
  • Assist in new product development from beginning to end, including analysis of ROI costing model, identification of supplier, and sourcing of raw materials and packaging components, as necessary
  • Oversee all logistics relationships including third party distribution, inbound and outbound shipping contracts
  • Maintain intellectual property portfolio of company through outside legal firm
  • Implementation, onboarding and maintenance of customer buying cycle, including setup of EDI documents and data synchronization as required by each customer and all upstream and downstream EDI communication between the company, customer and third-party distribution center
  • General office administration including network and phone system through external service providers will have 2 direct reports (Distribution Manager and Procurement Specialist)
  • This position reports directly to the CEO


  • BS degree in business discipline, supply chain or other type of degree
  • At least 3-5 years of supply chain and operational experience
  • Must have consumer goods experience - meaning they've had experience in a manufacturing environment that manufactures hard goods that gets sold to retailers
  • Must have exposure or some knowledge of EDI
  • Familiarity with an ERP system, invoicing, PO processing etc is a plus
  • Must be able to communicate/work directly with executives
  • Must have management experience
  • Wants somebody that is hungry, driven and a self-starter
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated, personable, and professional
  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods preferred
  • Familiarity with 21 CFR 111 Regulations is a plus but not required
  • Experience in the nutritional supplements or dietary supplement industry is a plus but not required
  • Proficient in some accounting software, preferably NetSuite or Sage is preferred but not required
