Senior Tax Manager - Generalist

Kforce's client, a growing CPA firm in Burlington, Vermont is seeking a Senior Tax Manager. The role will work with current tax leadership to oversee the continued development and expansion of the Tax practice. Summary: As a senior member of the tax team, you will have an important role in developing, mentoring, and coaching people to achieve challenging and rewarding careers and developing them into future leaders of our firm. This firm provide services to clients that range from privately-held companies to public companies as well as high net worth individuals. Responsibilities:

  • Business Development
  • Assist in the development and execute on growth strategies; actively represent the firm in the business community to promote our brand and capabilities; develop and close new business
  • Client Service
  • Manage and build trusting client relationships; understand client's business challenges and goals; work collaboratively with clients and service teams to deliver exceptional value and quality; manage and drive the success of multiple engagements while enhancing profitability; provide additional insights and business solutions that result in expanded business to clients
  • People Management
  • Attract, develop and retain top talent; serve as a mentor and coach for emerging leaders; ensure effective communication and alignment of priorities
  • Expertise Development
  • Stay current on latest regulatory and legislative developments as they affect GAAP, as well as the firm's standards and policies; continue to expand expertise in technical areas, including Compliance 1120's, Partnerships 1065's and High Net Worth 1040's

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting tax , with 3-5 years in a managerial role
  • Strong technical expertise in the following areas of taxation: Corporate, individual, and partnership taxation
  • Capable of managing multiple client engagements
  • Experience with Profx and other CCH products is a plus
