Senior Machine Automation Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client looking for a Senior Machine Automation Project Manager in Tucson, Arizona (AZ). This role is currently 100% remote and will switch back to an office environment when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Project Manager works in all aspects of the business, assisting in the development of proposals to our customers which meet their assembly system needs
  • Serves as the point of contact for the customer through the design, build, assembly, debug and installation of the equipment
  • Mentors and leads the project management team to achieve customer satisfaction through quality, schedule, and relationships
  • Understands customer specifications and objective of the project
  • Establishes and executes the project within the customer time requirements
  • Responsible for the quality and commercial success of projects
  • Responsible to ensure financial success and profitability of the projects
  • Provides bi-weekly project status reports to include schedule, resources and budget to the management team
  • Provides regular status reports and conduct project meetings with customers
  • Maintains and keeps the published schedule
  • Maintains all project documentation in a company standard format
  • Manages scope through the change order process
  • Responsible for requesting project invoicing and tracking payments
  • Responsible for the overall commercial performance of the delivered system
  • Develops customer relationships, and develops long term partnerships


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 8-12+ years of experience within the industrial automation industry
  • Extensive experience managing projects relating to industrial automation and assembly equipment
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally
  • Strong customer relation skills
  • High speed assembly experience (cycle times of .5 to 3 seconds)
  • Preference is for strong Systems Engineering experience
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
