Senior Equipment Technician Mechanic

Kforce's growing Arizona based manufacturing company in Prescott, AZ is seeking a Senior Equipment Technician Mechanic. We are looking for candidates willing to relocate to Prescott, AZ. Once again, the position is in Prescott, AZ. This is an exclusive search assignment and we are working directly with the Hiring Manager.Responsibilities:

  • Actively maintain a safe plant environment following 5S principles
  • The Senior Equipment Technician/Industrial Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the successful operation and maintenance of state-of-the-art extrusion blow mold machines. 11 machines are currently installed
  • Maintain the operating condition of extrusion blow mold machinery
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery
  • Disassemble machinery to remove parts and make repairs
  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing or repairs
  • Operate newly repaired machinery to verify the adequacy of repairs
  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, and machinery
  • Record parts or materials used and requisition new parts and material
  • Study blueprints and manuals to determine correct operation of machinery
  • Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery
  • Demonstrate equipment functions and features to apprentice mechanics and machine operators
  • Work is performed 100% in the production plant


  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years hands on experience as an equipment technician or mechanic for plastics machinery
  • Experience with extrusion blow molding machines preferred
  • Experience with Bekum H-121 and H-155 strongly desired
  • Able to apply mathematical concepts
  • Able to locate information not readily available
  • Able to read and understand manufacturers manuals and schematics
  • Must have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Work well with teams, coordinate activities and collaborate on issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Excellent time management skills within the production environment
  • Able to meet physical demands required to perform the work successfully
  • Willing to learn new processes and share ideas to improve operations
