RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is looking for an SDET to join their team in Greenwood Village, CO. Summary: This role will be involved in test planning, writing automated/manual test cases/scripts, functional, end to end testing, backend testing and test execution. This is specifically directed towards Java frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing manual and automated test scenario results. You will become a subject matter expert for the system and its interactions. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and improve automated tests to support new or existing features
  • Ensures that appropriate testing tools are selected and applied optimally
  • Maintains and enhances the test automation framework
  • Documents and implements test strategies, plans, processes and standards
  • Provides succinct and accurate documentation of issues
  • Reports progress on goals when requested
  • Actively participates in Sprint Planning and Retrospectives


REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3-7 years of system development, testing, and/or business experience
  • Go getter, critical mindset, solving problems and coming up with solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze and assist in resolving defects
  • Critical thinker, ability to interact with key stakeholders and maintain positive attitude
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into test plans/automated tests
  • Experience working with a load and performance testing
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Display professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor
  • Strong communicator (written and verbal): ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Excellent understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with Java, Groovy, Maven, REST, Linux, Jenkins, Jira, Git, XML, JSON, Rest Assured, TestNG, Postgres, API, and Kubernetes is nice to have
  • Understanding of database schemas and querying tools
  • Excellent understanding of test automation frameworks
  • Good understanding of quality assurance process, tools and methodologies
  • Experience working with an Agile development team
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, driven individual
  • Cable industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with the following is a plus: Docker, Kubernetes, Solr/Lucene, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, DropWizard, Tomcat, Jersey, AWS, JavaScript, MongoDB, Confluence
  • Working conditions: Office environment
