Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Oracle Developer in Columbus, OH.Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support to database infrastructure and development teams with implementation and operation of application data stores including configuration, modification, maintenance, storage, backup and recovery, tuning and performance
  • The Database Engineer delivers standard and custom
  • Supportable infrastructure technology solutions based on architectural standards, technology roadmaps and business requirements
  • In addition, this role encompasses and is accountable for the operational aspects of infrastructure management in accordance with solution requirements and defined service level obligations (SLOs)
  • The role is focused on databases, in support of a given technology domain


Skills

  • 6 or more years in IT development or operational support roles
  • 6 years of experience in database engineering and developer support in Oracle 12c/19c
  • Proven knowledge in advanced database administration in Oracle 12c/19c environments
  • Understanding of common network and SAN topologies
  • Proven knowledge of backups, restore, recovery processes and industry best practices
  • Proven knowledge of indexes, index management, constraints, configuration, patching on database platforms
  • Proven knowledge of common database administration tools and applications ( e.g SQL Developer, Toad, Oracle Enterprise Manager, DPA Solar Winds Ignite)
  • Understands common incident, problem, and release management techniques and processes
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity, performance, connectivity, and security issues
  • Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitoring and other built-in and third party monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Experience with server clustering technology including Oracle RAC
  • Experience in automating manual processes and job scheduling in Windows, Unix/Linux, and Oracle
  • Ability to detect and troubleshoot CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention
  • Background in configuring and tuning, ETL (Export, Transform and Load) processes
