Manager, Payroll Tax and Accounting

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client, a global company in Secaucus, NJ seeks Manager, Payroll Tax and Accounting. Summary: The Manager will be reporting to the Controller-Transaction Services, the incumbent has overall responsibility for managing on-going analysis, system updates, and enhancements to the PeopleSoft in-house payroll system, its related reports and interfaces, and Workforce Central time and attendance system, working in conjunction with Corporate IT. With the Payroll Tax Supervisor and Tax Analysts, the incumbent has responsibility for the in-house Payroll Tax function. Along with Payroll Systems Analysts, oversees and maintains the functions of the payroll system, testing of tax updates; research of system problems; operational issues, high level payroll reports; system training for payroll staff; and the management of the payroll tax function and the in-house tax payment system.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8 to 10 years payroll system experience
  • 5-10 years strategic management experience and accomplished project management skills
  • The incumbent should possess highly developed HR and payroll system analytical skills; thorough payroll and tax knowledge
  • Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of time and attendance systems is beneficial
