ITS Application Analyst II

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in search of an ITS Application Analyst II in Glastonbury, CT. This position is in the Epic Security team of our IT Security department.Position Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the ITS Group Lead or ITS Manager
  • Provides application and technical information system support
  • Designs, analyzes, builds, tests, trains and supports assigned security for Epic applications; Generally, this requires building and maintaining Epic EMP and SER databases
  • Facilitate issue resolution, providing alternative solutions to problems and proactively enhancing application design and implementation
  • Builds and maintains assigned application security
  • Guides the development and execution of testing methodology
  • Conducts testing for assigned applications
  • Coordinates vendors for functional and technical support and staff augmentation
  • Participates in project management as assigned
  • Participates in training, development, and performance evaluations of assigned project staff
  • Provides customer response and updates according to current policies and procedures
  • "On Call" responsibilities as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 7-9 years of related experience
  • Work experience may substitute for minimum education requirement
  • Due to sensitive security and financial responsibilities, must successfully pass Credit/Financial screenings
  • Working knowledge of state and federal health care information technology laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge of general information technology policies and procedures
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to operate various office machines including printers, computers and various software packages
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Strong analytical skills, project management skills, conflict resolution skills, presentation skills, prioritization skills, process improvement and quality skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion and sound judgment
  • Must be willing to learn new technologies and techniques
  • Must be willing and able to come to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Travel to client sites within 30 miles of Hartford will be required occasionally
  • Healthcare experience is preferred
  • Experience with Epic user access provisioning is preferred
  • Knowledge of privacy and compliance regulation or IT Security frameworks is preferred
