RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in search of an Inventory Specialist in Tampa, FL. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for supporting the accounts payable and inventory departments and reports to the Inventory Supervisor. Key Tasks:
- Monitor inventory transactions to ensure proper posting in the POS system
- Prepare the high cost report analysis on a daily basis
- Prepare inventory adjusting entries in the POS system
- Assist in preparation and reconciling of inventory cycle counts
- Research reconciling inventory items as requested
- Assist in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory purchasing and receiving
- Maintain and input valid inventory data into computer database, and correspond with accounts payable for correct billing and payment regarding inventory suppliers
- Work with store managers and corporate colleagues to resolve inventory and receiving discrepancies
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all vendors and colleagues
- Exhibit and maintain professional communication skills with internal and external colleagues, partners, and vendors at all times
- Compile and conduct necessary reports and submit to the designated management team by each report deadlines
- Makes photocopies, scans/faxes documents, files and performs other clerical functions
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
