Data Warehouse QA Tester

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Warehouse QA Tester in Atlanta, GA. This role is currently 100% remote and will switch back to an office environment when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Summary: We are looking for a Data Warehouse QA Analyst that is results-oriented, self-motivated and has the ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment. This role requires frequent interaction with project managers, product managers, ETL, reports developers and business users in order to ensure that we deliver a quality-tested platform to our users. Responsibilities

  • Ensure data loaded into the warehouse is accurate
  • Identify potential data and report errors, and work with development to resolve
  • Review reports for data accuracy and functionality integrity versus requirements presented by end users, project management and product management
  • Create test plans for the software releases, defining resources, and test suites required for each test cycle, dependencies, risks, and the overall strategy for testing complex systems and applications
  • Perform all aspects of verification, including functional, structural, regression and system testing

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in testing software
  • 3+ years of experience in testing Data warehouse solutions
  • Strong background in functional testing including designing and developing test strategy and test cases
  • Ability to review technical requirements with data warehouse and business intelligence terminology to produce test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases
  • Experience participating in all aspects of a full-lifecycle development methodology, and related quality concepts and processes
  • Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality
  • Ability to lead a distributed testing effort
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in an agile environment with an iterative approach to development
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
Programming skills:
  • Proficient in SQL and relational database systems
  • Experience with 3GL Programming language (i.e. Python)
