Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in search of a Customer Service in Poway, CA.Job Details:

  • Inbound call center, handling mostly billing or cancellation-oriented calls
  • Taking 40-50 calls per day
  • Using 3 mail systems and several others on occasion
Schedule:
  • 8-hour shift between the hours of 6:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • 40-minute lunch
Training:
  • 2-week training then sink or swim (must be intelligent and resourceful)
  • 1st week will be reviewing the systems and processes, basic knowledge
  • 2nd week will be side by side with a trainer shadowing, then handling software navigation alone while the trainer handles the call, then handling the call alone prior to handling both simultaneously

Other details:
  • They will be extra -picky- with this hire, as this person will be a key player on the team
  • The reason for this hire is due to several promotions in his department; They are big on promotions and want to see candidates that are ambitious and eager to grow; Natural career progression would be into an Administrator role in the department and then Lead or Supervisor
  • They had a new product released recently that has added to the call volume
  • They have fun promotions for the team, including free lunch on occasion, basketball tournaments (for March Madness), and some monetary incentives for retention successes - just to name a few

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be organized, technically savvy, resourceful, able to listen and adapt to the customer needs, thick skin, ability to take charge and guide the call
  • Critical thinking skills are essential in this role
