Collections Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in search of a Collections Specialist in Houston, TX. Role:

  • Generally, only 40 hours a week
  • 8am-5pm (30 minutes to 1-hour lunch break)
  • Business casual dress code
  • Attendance must be solid without exception


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong, strong attention to detail
  • Excel skills moderate to advanced
  • Detailed collection notes at the invoice level as well as recap reports to cover with me every 2 weeks
  • Self-starter (there will be training on our business and they will be sitting in the office with the Senior collector that will be training them, but this is not a Jr collector position), they'll have to pull their own load & will be an equal
  • The ability to keep all the balls in the air at one time and keep things moving forward; Fast paced environment; Will not be micromanaging them to get things done or collected; Must know how to be persistent and get things resolved one way or the other in various levels of problem escalation (to field salesperson or location/branch owner manager); It's like a factory, unresolved issues will back up and cause issues when they get to be 120, 180 days and are still unresolved or have never been escalated for help or direction for final conflict resolution
  • Legal collections a plus
  • Ariba invoicing (the collections end) and other online portal experience a plus
We have up to 5 various systems in use that they may be bouncing between, so experience in any or all would be pluses:
  • Salesforce
  • MR (Medical Records)
  • RB (Reporter Base)
  • OnDemand
  • ZOHO
