CFO & Controllership Advisory Services Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Hartford, CT that is seeking an experienced CFO & Controllership Advisory Services Manager to join our growing and well-established National Advisory Services group in their New England offices. This role is currently 100% remote and will switch back to an office environment when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.   • Develop relationships with clients and other stakeholders
  • Participates in the development of and support the client's strategic plans
  • Monitor the financial performance of clients
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
  • Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures
  • Communicate financial metrics to senior management
  • Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments
  • Prepare relevant work papers and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare financial statements for both public and private companies, including cash flow statements and note disclosure
  • Research tax and GAAP issues and topics and draft technical position papers
  • Regional and local travel to client locations and training courses


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or 3+ years in public accounting and 3+ in private industry
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines
  • SEC reporting experience
  • Ability to problem-solve and think quickly, creatively, and logically to respond to complex client inquiries in a timely manner
  • Emerging growth to mid-sized company background is preferred; Additional large company exposure a plus
  • Big 4 or National Firm experience preferred
