Business Systems Analyst

Kforce has a client in search of a Business Systems Analyst in Greenwood Village, CO. Summary: As a Client Project Manager in the IT Operations, Infrastructure Platforms Services, Planning and Execution team, you will use your project management skills to organize and coordinate all required server maintenance and compliance remediation/changes for multiple business applications. Your work will include the development of project plans/maintenance schedules, coordinating and opening change requests between the application support teams and the technical support and administration teams, tracking metrics for senior leadership, and reporting status to management. Excellent verbal and written skills are a must, as well as having the ability to effectively communicate with senior managers in terms of understanding what's required to support the maintenance services that you perform. A solid understanding of Infrastructure operations will help you adhere to and execute change management processes and procedures and communicate soundly with both the application support and system administrator teams. Your day to daily activities will include but not be limited to:

  • Review upcoming required maintenance and compliance tasks
  • Organize tasks by host name and application impacted
  • Review maintenance window schedule and create a tentative maintenance schedule
  • Schedule application and technical team's meetings to confirm schedule and resource assignments
  • Open Change requests
  • Coordinate change requests during change windows to ensure attendance and execution of the scheduled change
  • Perform status tracking of all scheduled changes

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 5 years of equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations Systems Analysis
You should be able to perform:
  • Project planning, forecasting and status reporting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent task scheduling skills
  • Excellent customer service experience working in a team environment
  • Experience in change management process, procedures and use of change systems (Service Now, Remedy, or another tool)
  • Proven expertise in using the following: MS Project; MS Excel; MS Access; MS Word; MS PowerPoint
  • Understanding or experience with Patch Management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills a must
  • The desired candidate will have a strong project management background and will work in a team environment
  • The right candidate should have high core competence skills, such as communication, team focus, influence, service oriented, problem solving, analytic thinking, planning, personal development and decisiveness
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with server OS configuration changes and software upgrades
  • Experience with various server technology OS versions
  • Experience with ServiceNow or Remedy Change management procedures
  • There will be no people supervised
  • Current size of the team is 13
  • This position will not be eligible for telecommute unless approved by the manager
  • Overtime has to be approved by the manager
  • This position is not eligible for conversion to FTE at this time but candidate should be willing to convert
