Billing Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is assisting a client in the Tampa, FL area who is seeking a Billing Specialist. Summary: The Billing Specialist is responsible for calculating, preparing and processing billing documents, issue resolution, handling billing related inquiries and data entry, balancing, and store updates of Canadian factures. The selected Billing Specialist will prepare and issue billing escalations to customers using manual and computerized systems, such as SAP. Responsibilities:

  • Process customer invoices and credit memos (mail, EDI, email) in a timely basis
  • Research and resolve EDI rejections from customers
  • Prepare and file documentation to process credits
  • Process credit and rebills as required
  • Input order entry for some distributor's invoices 3 to 4 days of the week
  • Prepare weekly statements for the distributors process
  • Perform month end tasks and follow up with the different stakeholders to insure a clean close
  • Monitor the billing error tables
  • Research and work with the internal team members to resolve any billing issues


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate degree preferred, not required
  • 1-2 years of experience as Billing Specialist or similar capacity
  • Experience handling all aspects of billing in a high volume environment
  • Working knowledge of SAP Financial or other ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Good communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Accounting Principles
  • EDI experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills (ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and find solutions)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Trustworthy, strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Self-motivated team player with an ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
