Audit Manager/Director

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Audit Manager/Director in North Andover, Massachusetts (MA). The largest regional accounting, tax and business advisory firm based in New England, is seeking a Manager/Director to join the Audit Group in our Boston, MA or Quincy, MA office. Essential Functions:

  • Mentor and develop new staff by sharing experiences
  • Communicates effectively with in-charges and managers, providing timely updates and communicating any delays
  • Attends relevant training
  • Maintains professional relationships with clients at all times
  • Audit Manager oversees staff, seniors and supervisors on financial statement audits and special projects
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of business practices and applies knowledge and critical thinking to strategize, plan and implement department and industry activities
  • Deliver client value
  • Receives positive client feedback
  • Supports marketing and practice development
  • Identifies potential engagement opportunities to expand service delivery
  • Identifies and escalates relevant risks
  • Assist with practice development activities and proposals
  • Displays commitment to developing technical expertise; Reads industry publications, is active in consulting forums and meetings, pursues appropriate educational training
  • Meets deadlines and chargeable hour goals
  • Takes ownership of assignments
  • Proactively performs own Quality Control on products/services generated


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other Business field of study and 10+ years of experience as an Auditor in a Public Accounting firm or related Business experience
  • Industry experience in Manufacturing/Distribution/Retail is desired
  • Leadership and talent development experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
  • CPA
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS
  • Understanding of business and accounting issues
